We cut in from black to a really colorful backdrop, a cascading rainbow of multi-colored hearts rain down the length of the backdrop before a cheesy starburst effect ripples out to reveal a title:
~ MAI WAIFU’S VLOG! EPISODE 482 ~
It stays on the screen, attracting the eye for an absurd amount of time before another starwipe bursts out and the entire title screen cuts to the image of on Mai Waifu sitting at her desk, clad in a dry-fit purple tanktop and a pair of yellow yoga pants.
“Kon’nichiwaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
She throws up the peace sign cutely before grabbing a nalgene water bottle from off-screen before taking a sip. She sets it down before looking back into her webcam, obviously completely at ease with shooting vlog’s at this stage of her internet fame.
“It’s your Waifu: Mai Waifu, and I am here with a long-awaited update on my return back to professional wrestling since this lucky gal got all of you guys and gals out there in internet land to fall for her!”
A wink
“Now I know some of you have been saddened by the lack of new vlogs, blogs and other content on my website since I decided to get myself back into fighting shape, so lemme give you a short crash course”
The screen cuts to several images of her working out, in the gym lifting weights, jogging and a series of neck bridges on the mats, each shot is decidedly… ‘cheescake’.
“Getting back into shape has been tough, but I’m happy to report I can now fit into all my old ring gear!”
With that a picture of her in a pink and purple singlet pops up, she has her eyes crossed and tongue stuck out sarcastically.
“Don’t worry though, I still have many, MANY different outfits and gear made so all of you out there won’t get bored of my look. Even better, Seishin Joshi Puro has announced the card AND my first opponent, so you all will get to see the fruits of my labor sooner rather than later”
An applause track cuts in here as Mai jokingly bows and waves to an audience that isn’t actually there.
“Now my first opponent is Kai Shizuka, who looks to be a really nice gal. She’s a bit shorter and lighter than me-”
She pouts at that admission before a subtitle that says: -AND YOUNGER- pops up
“-but she’s strong, surprisingly so. Kai-chan if you’re watching this just know I’m prepping really, REALLY hard for you, I’m not going to take you lightly and - while I hope we put on a great show - I plan on leaving my first match in AGES with the victory. So let’s make sure we bring our A game! Let’s do it for the rest of the roster, for the crowd… for my Youtube subscription numbers!”
A canned laugh track plays.
“Update complete and back to training! Bye for now!”
