As the lights fade to black, the piano introduction of Nightwish' “Moondance” begins to play. As the drums and guitar kick in, a firebreathers torch lights up before a fireball blasts from the stage as the lights fade back up, revealing Valkyrie standing tall, staring at the torch as she spits a second gout of flame from her lips, before discarding the torch and making her way to the ring.
At ringside, she sheds her leather trenchcoat and vaults up onto the apron before she presses down on the top rope and steps over the top rope, making her way to her corner before she drops to her knees.

BIOGRAPHY

Born Mercedes Lange and growing up in the town of Roskilde, from an early age she showed an interest in the Viking heritage that had not been followed for over 900 years, coupled with the fact that she was a loner at school due to her height, strength and temper. Leaving school, she began powerlifting competitively at the age of 17 and happened to meet a professional wrestler by the name of James Donovan, who was scouting the powerlifting scene for potentials in his industry. When she showed interest, he gave her the simple ultimatum.
“Come to the Asylum school in Florida, you survive boot camp, I'll reimburse your expenses and grant you a place full time.”
The move came and Mercedes found herself training alongside other men and women in what she acknowledged as the two toughest days of her life, from a class of twenty, she was one of the ten who didn't break from the “Welcome speech” A fact she attributes that she could barely understand enough English at the time to know that she was being insulted, which lead to the harshest amount of stamina testing and mental exhaustion she had known. The second day, she was one of four who remained, being taught enough to work a basic match before being placed in a battle royal against the three remaining boot camp students and six of Omega's prospects who were fighting for a place in the Gauntlet. Mercedes was not only the last Boot Camp student, she won the bout and with it a tonne of instant respect from the Omega staff and students.
A year later she found herself competing in the Graduation Gauntlet, twenty four students entered, eight matches in the USA, eight in Europe and the final eight in Japan, it was during this time that she began using her ring name of Valkyrie, and she was again the last student standing.
Her GPW tenure recently ended, with the Self Styled Great Dane Bitch being the first to hold the West Coast Championship and 2015 being quiet compared to the 2014.
Now she's spread her wings and is ready to ride solo, she still takes her mentors advice but she now does what she wants...
