"In the Japanese language, the word "Seishin" means psyche; the soul, the spirit, and the will. In Seishin I see the soul of joshi puroresu in it's fans, the fighting spirit of it's roster, and the will to one day be the best joshi promotion in the world. Ladies and gentlemen; We are Seishin."
- Mariko Inoue, General Manager of Seishin
Seishin is a Tokyo-based joshi puroresu (Japanese women's wrestling) founded in late 2015 by former joshi and gravure idol Mariko Inoue and businessman and joshi puroresu fan Toru Hyuga of the Hyuga Foundation. After retiring from professional wrestling in May 2015, Mariko Inoue was approached by Toru Hyuga about building up a new promotion in the joshi scene that placed emphasis not only on each of the joshis' wrestling talent but also their beauty. They had spent the next few months laying put the groundwork, and on September 2015 they held a press conference announcing the founding of their new promotion, naming it 'Seishin,' after the Japanese word for psyche, spirit, soul and will.
Thanks to the generous budget afforded to the promotion by it's benefactor, Seishin holds it's shows at the famous Korakuen Hall in Tokyo Dome City, an area in the Bunkyo ward of Tokyo, Japan. Korakuen Hall is a venue that is capable of holding around 2000 people, and the promotion hosts a bi-weekly show there, as well as a supershow every three months (four per year). Both Mariko and Toru are hopeful that their company would be able to hold shows in venues such as the Tokyo Dome and perhaps hold their shows overseas within the year.

The Faces of Seishin
Mariko Inoue
Founder and General Manager of Seishin
Toru Hyuga
Founder and owner of Seishin
Mariko Inoue
Founder and General Manager of Seishin
Joshi, gravure idol and now wrestling promoter and businesswoman. Mariko Inoue's wrestling career spanned over a decade before she retired in May at the age of 32. With talent, a good head on her shoulders and even better looks, it was little wonder that she was approached by Toru Hyuga to help found Seishin. While the founding was a joint effort on behalf of it's founders, it is Mariko who handles the puroresu side of things as the promotion's General Manager. She is the face of the compny.
Toru Hyuga
Founder and owner of Seishin
Toru Hyuga has always been a huge fan of puroresu, but he was always an even bigger fan of joshi puroresu...mainly because he was bit of a pervert. For many years, it was a dream of Toru's to create a promotion that focused on beauty as much as it did wrestling talent, and with the beautiful Mariko Inoue as the face of the company, it seemed like a match made in heaven. Toru runs the day-to-day business operations of Seishin, and so seldom involves himself with inside affairs.
Keiji Mikami
Play-by-play Commentator
Keiji has a background in wrestling journalism, and before he became the play-by-play commentator for Seishin, he worked for a series of wrestling magazines. Keiji is a veritable encyclopaedia of wrestling holds and techniques, and has quite the eye for the ladies.

Tomoko Takahashi
Colour Commentator
A former joshi, Tomoko was one of the top heels of the promotions she worked for back in her day. Approaching her twentieth year of retirement, Tomoko spends most of her time teaching the next generation of joshi how to wrestle, and spends the rest of it doing commentary for Seishin. As a former wrestler, she respects wrestling talent above all else and is disdainful of the 'models' that make up much of Seishin's roster.

Masami Ishikawa
Ring Announcer
Fresh out of college, Masami had high aspirations to becoming an actress and singer. Reality, however, did not coincide with her dream and so her aspirations were left in the dust. One day, she made the chance acquaintance of Mariko Inoue, who was impressed enough with the command of her voice that she hired her as Seishin's new ring announcer.

The Titles of Seishin
As a new promotion, Seishin has very little in the way of titles. There are three titles so far; the Championship of Seishin, the Artisan of Seishin Championship and the Ladies of Seishin Championships.
Championship of Seishin
Championship of Seishin
To be named the Champion of Seishin is to represent Joshi Puroresu Seishin as a whole, from the members of the ring crew to the General Manager herself. It is a great honour...and a great responsibility.
Artisan of Seishin
Joshi puroresu is an art form, and it's practitioners artisans. While this could be considered by the ignorant as the 'lower-tier' of the two singles belts, the Artisan of Seishin title is no less important or coveted.
Ladies of Seishin
In teamwork great things are accomplished. The Ladies of Seishin is representative of that accomplishment, and is awarded to those who work together to achieve their goals. It is the tag team division's championship.
