The latest video uploaded to the Seishin website opens to an establishing shot of a huge all-purpose arena. As the camera lingers over levels upon levels of empty seats, the distinctive creaking of footfalls on a wooden surface is heard from off-camera, only to be drowned out as a familiar voice begins to talk:
'Merlot...Junko...welcome to Budokan Hall.'
The person holding the camera takes a few more steps forward, making the most of their vantage point at the top of the stage.
'Many of the greatest gods of rock have played on this stage. KISS, Judas Priest, Ozzy...you name 'em, they've been here. Not to mention, the spirit of martial arts is all over these walls. You can practically feel it, man.
And that's why I'm here...to take inspiration from those legendary rock stars, those legendary martial artists, and use it towards my own career.'
The camera whirls around at this point to reveal the speaker – Championship of Seishin contender Jacqui Monroe, whose face appears in extreme close-up.
'You see, I've realised something this past couple of weeks. I've realised that maybe I'm not as menacing as I used to be, or as much of a threat. That maybe I'm not the Alpha Bitch anymore. That age caught up to me, and I didn't even notice. When we meet at the Tokyo Dome next week, it's gonna take all of my effort to overcome you two. You guys are younger, you're in better shape, and you've been wrestling consistently for the past couple of years, unlike me. You guys are favorites; I have no problem admitting that.
But see...another thing I've realised is...just 'cause I'm old, doesn't mean I'm worthless. And just because you're favorites, doesn't mean you're necessarily gonna win.'
The blonde grins wryly.
'See, you two may be really damn good wrestlers, but you're not perfect. In fact, you have really fucking obvious flaws. Junko – you're out of your element in singles wrestling. You do okay, but you're nowhere near as dangerous as you are when you're with your partner. Merlot – you're too cocky by half. You underestimate opponents. Those are the types of flaws that could cost you, and you bet your ass I know how to explore them.
In fact, that's the main thing I've got going for myself in this match. Experience. I know Merlot is used to being the ring general in her matches, but this time, she's shit outta luck. She may have over a decade inside that ring, but in this match, she's not the veteran. I am. And I'm gonna make damn sure you two know that.'
Jacqui flashes the camera another wry smirk.
'You see...maybe it's true that you can't teach an old dog new tricks...
...but this Bitch still knows a bunch of old ones.
See you on the 7th, cupcakes.'
With this, the blonde turns off the camera, and the feed cuts out.
