JOSHI INFORMATION
--------------------------
Real Name:
Samantha Tolson
Ring Name:
Samantha Tolson
Nickname(s):
“No Gimmicks Needed”
Height:
5’ 6”
Weight:
158 lbs.
Picture Base:
Chloe Bennet (Skye/Daisy from ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’)
Date of Birth:
November 16, 1991
Hometown:
Jefferson City, Missouri, USA
Alignment:
Face
Wrestling Style:
Technical mixed with a bit of Strong Style and Lucha Libre
Strengths (At least 2):
Training: Samantha was trained at Camp Nightfall by an 8-time World Champion, ‘Nightbringer’ Ryan Corey, and as such has an extremely solid mat wrestling background...including a vast knowledge of suplexes. She will rarely get outwrestled by anyone. She has also spent time in Japan to learn better striking and kicking, and in Mexico, learning some of the Lucha Libre style, and has incorporated it into her overall approach.
Toughness: Samantha is country-strong, and country-tough, meaning that despite her look, she is a lot stronger than she seems at first glance, and can absorb an extremely high degree of punishment in the ring. She never backs down from a fight, ever, and will take on all comers.
Attitude: Samantha knows that she’s a neophyte in terms of career longetivity, so she’s come to accept that there’s going to be some bumps in the road, and she’s going to probably lose matches she thinks she should win. She tends to keep her head up regardless of result, and has developed some coping mechanisms for those times when her dauber does get down.
One thing that sometimes sets Samantha apart from her fellow competitors is her party-girl attitude outside the ring. She is openly bisexual, and when not training or wrestling is as free-minded a spirit as you’ll find. When it’s time to get to work, however, she turns into a bit of a machine, only allowing herself to think of the task at hand.
Weaknesses (At least 2):
Experience: Samantha has only been a professional wrestler for around a year, and has not been in the ring in about four months, with the exception of working a few dates for the iPRO promotion her mentor operates.
Focus: While she is very focused on her opponent, she’s also susceptible to outside interference and general in-match skullduggery. She believes in giving her opponent(s) all she has but in a fair and straight-forward fashion, and sometimes that mindset leaves her open to some of the foolishness and mayhem a good heel brings to the table.
Toughness: While this is most certainly one of her strengths, it’s also a weakness, because Samantha is well-aware of exactly how tough she is. That can, at times, lead her to bite off more than one woman can realistically chew, and it also lends itself to her taking risks and beatings that she could avoid.

BIOGRAPHY
---------------
Samantha Tolson is the first, and to this point only, female graduate of Ryan Corey’s Camp Nightfall. She got into wrestling while as a student at the University of Missouri, she attended the annual show that Corey’s iPRO promotion puts on at the “Fire in the Sky” event on the 4th of July each year. She happened to be there for the very first of those shows, and saw the double-title main event between FLAME Akihiro and Kurt Von Hess for the two titles Akihiro wore, one from a Japanese promotion, and another from a German promotion. After watching the two go for nearly an hour, with each man claiming a fall, she was hooked, and the next day began looking for wrestling schools.
Tolson made a few calls to the facility, and Corey patiently answered her questions each time, but very bluntly stated that he had not yet trained a woman for in-ring combat. That didn’t deter her, as she signed on the dotted line, even surviving ‘Weapons Day’ to earn the respect not only of the man she now considers her mentor, but also the rest of the Camp Nightfall students. After nearly two years of training, she stepped out on her own early in 2015, signing with the FFW promotion. She challenged for the Television Title there, but unhappy with life in California, as well as the direction FFW had in mind for her, she left the promotion and moved back to her Missouri home.
The itch to fight has never left her, though, as she took a few dates with iPRO to keep the ring rust away while looking for a new place to call home. Some research led her to Seishin, and she is hoping that her no-nonsense, hard-hitting, always-go-forward style leads her to success in the Land of the Rising Sun.

MISCELLANEOUS
--------------------
Taunts (Up to 3):
Samantha will look at her opponent, hold out her hand at arm’s length, and simply move her hand in a “come on” motion.
Notes (Up to 3):
Samantha wears three different outfits to the ring, each with a purpose. All are mid-thigh length, with a tank-top-style top, and are made the same as most men’s outfits of the same look (think Ryback’s general singlet-style outfit and you have the general picture).
The colors are:
Navy blue and gold - paying tribute to her high school (Helias Catholic)
Black and gold - paying tribute to the Tigers of Ol’ Mizzou
Red and white, with blue trimming - paying tribute to her mentor Ryan Corey, who uses the same color scheme
