JOSHI INFORMATION
--------------------------
Real Name:
Azumi Uematsu
Ring Name:
Shura
Nickname(s):
The Anti-Model, Japanese Suplex Machine, "That Angry Woman"
Height:
5’3”
Weight:
152lbs
Picture Base:
Meiko Satomura
Date of Birth:
December 31st, 1979
Hometown:
Fukuoka, Japan
Alignment:
Heel
Wrestling Style:
Technical/Power
Strengths (At least 2):
Veteran: Shura has been a joshi for around two decades, and so she knows the ins and outs of a wrestling ring, and certainly has a few wily tricks up her sleeve.
Stout Strength: Just because she is only 5'3", she is still 152lbs and built like a tank, which gives Shura a good low centre of gravity and a solid core to work with when dropping her opponents on their head.
Weaknesses (At least 2):
Honourable: She may be a heel, but she is an honourable heel. Perhaps too much for her own good. She will happily drop someone on their head and use the many veteran's tricks available to her, but she will refuse to cheat in any way. Even if her opponents have no qualms in doing so.
Slow: Shura is what one might call a 'mighty glacier.' She may be able to outpower and outwrestle her opponents but first she has to catch them. Easier said than done if said opponent was a 100lb luchadora or anyone else who is quicker than her.
Azumi Uematsu, the woman known as Shura, comes out with a sour look of determination on her face and a beautiful short kimono, red with golden and white highlights. She looks at the fans on either side of them with her hands on her hips, giving them all a look of disapproval at their booing before she decides to march to the ring with that same look of sour determination on her face. All business.
Shura climbs the ring steps and then walks across the apron to the middle of the ring, grasping the top rope as she bowed her head to the ring in reverence. After a few brief moments, Shura then slipped through the ring ropes and marched over to her corner to wait for the bell to ring so that she may teach her opponent some respect.

BIOGRAPHY
---------------
Manami Toyota, Akira Hokuto, Etsuko Mita. These women were idols of a young Azumi Uematsu, the woman who would be known as Shura, and for as long as she could remember she wanted to be like them.
With a background in weightlifting and amateur wrestling, Azumi was seemingly built for the sport. She trained at the prestigious Yopparai Dojo, and reckoned by head trainer Hiroshi Kagayama to be perhaps the finest student he had ever had, as her physical condition and technical wrestling talent were in his eyes second to none. By the time Azumi turned thirty-five, she was already a veteran joshi for two decades. However, Azumi is also a staunch traditionalist, and has a certain way of seeing things, which at times disagrees with the way things are today.
When she made her professional debut back in 1995, all was right in the world for young Azumi, but sadly for her times change and joshi puroresu along with it. In her eyes, puroresu has a certain kind of honour, an honour she feels is dying a slow death as puroresu evolved without her. For example, women who had no business being in any ring let alone hers were being given the spotlight due to their popularity, rather than their actual talent. Joshi were spending too much of their time showboating and pandering to the fans when they should have been destroying the competition without mercy.
As the years went by Azumi, her sense of honour and respect for puroresu's traditions took a beating.
In the back of her mind, the woman known to the crowds as Shura knew that her time has past, and that she should retire along with the rest of the joshi from her time. But Azumi Uematsu is a stubborn woman, and until the traditions of her beloved sport are restored she intends to keep fighting for her belief.

MISCELLANEOUS
--------------------
Taunts (Up to 3):
Shura doesn’t taunt. She is there to drop her opponents on their head, not to clown around for the fans enjoyment.
Notes (Up to 3):
Shura may be considered a heel but that is more or less by virtue of her lack of charisma and popularity. Think of her like Lance Storm, personality-wise.
