The latest video on the Seishin website opens to a shot of the 'Alpha Bitch', Jacqui M, sitting on the customary couch, smoking the customary cigarette and wearing the customary leather jacket over an underground metal shirt – this time, for death metal innovators Possessed. As the footage begins, she wears a slight grin on her lips:
'Stop me if you've heard this one: a Korean martial artist, a Japanese bodybuilder and an American badass walk into a wrestling ring...'
The grin widens.
''Course you haven't heard it! It hasn't happened yet! But if you tune into the next Seishin show, you just might find out how that story ends.'
The blonde leans forward, adopting a confidential tone:
'Spoilers: the badass wins.'
The veteran then leans back once more, toking on her cigarette.
'Don't get me wrong, Hana, Kotone, I was lucky to draw you guys. You two are about as close to who I would have picked as opponents as it gets. Well, unless we're counting Valkyrie, but I can deal with that bitch once I have my belt. As far as the rest of them, good riddance – I really didn't feel like having dance-offs or whatever-the-fuck.'
Jacqui chuckles dryly.
'With you two, though? With you two, I know I'm getting a fight. I know if I throw a lariat at one of you, you're not gonna crumple into dust. I know if little miss Army brat gets a few kicks in, I'm gonna be in trouble. And I know if She-Hulk gets a hold of me, I'm probably gonna end up short of breath.
And you know what? I love it.'
The blonde smacks her right fist against her left palm exciredly.
'I fucking love it. In a promotion that's supposed to be about beauty and shit, it's gonna be two old bitches and an Army ass-kicker stealing the show. You know why? 'Cause we're not gonna dance, or pretend we're in Game of Thrones or whatever. We're gonna fight. We're gonna leave every bit of ourselves out there. 'Cause all three of us know this tournament ain't about looking pretty or having fun – it's about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The Championship of Seishin. The blonde leans forward once again.
'Park...Wakahisa...on November 2...I'm gonna be in that ring waiting for the 'punch' line. Don't let me down.'
Jacqui winks.
'And hey, after you lose, at least you can say you hung in there with an Alpha Bitch.'
With this, she cuts off the feed, ending the video.
