We are Seishin #3
Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Dome City, Tokyo
The Seishin cameras open live in the famous Korakuen Hall as the third edition of We are Seishin was set to begin. The sold out crowd were sitting in their seats waiting patiently as one of the cameras pans back and forth over the excited faces at ringside. Another camera captured some of the various banners and signs hanging from the hall’s balconies, written in either Japanese or, less frequently, in English: ‘I want Mercy!’ ‘Jacqui M is the Alpha Bitch!’ ‘Jungle Girl Rocks!’
The camera then cut away to the Seishin broadcast team, seated at ringside, and ready as always to get the night started.
Keiji Mikami: “Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the third edition of We are Seishin! We are live, once again, from Korakuen Hall inside the famous Tokyo Dome City in Tokyo! I’m Mikami Keiji, joined by my broadcast colleague, the beautiful and ever so lovely Takahashi Tomoko.”
Tomoko Takahashi: “Mikami-san, you better keep it in your pants, because flattery does nothing for me. I also happen to be a professional…and married!”
Keiji Mikami: “I didn’t…anyway, what a match we have for all of you fans here with us in the hall and watching us at home!”
Tomoko Takahashi: “Indeed! We got models galore for you for your ogling pleasure. We got the Jungle Girl, Joanna Tarzanna. We got the K Tigress, Hana Park – now she’s a damn model if I ever seen one! We have Shihai Megami, that cheerleader Cherry Oliver…that weirdo Barbie doll lookalike – what’s her name – Candi… Speaking of which, did you hear that ridiculous rumour?”
Keiji Mikami: “What rumour?”
Tomoko Takahashi: “The rumour where Junko and Barbie are going to resolve their match with a dance-off! I mean…what? In spite of the over-abundance of large breasted beauties, Seishin is supposed to be a wrestling promotion, not a damn dance competition!”
Keiji Mikami: “Your dislike for the more attractive members of our roster-“
Tomoko Takahashi: “You mean almost all of them.”
Keiji Mikami: “…notwithstanding, I in fact agree with you. But that’s just a silly rumour, right? Anyways, Seishin fans, tonight is Block B of our Championship of Seishin tournament, but not only that, but we also have for our main event the seven-woman over the top rope battle royal! Tonight is going to be a good night, Takahashi-san.”
Tomoko Takahashi: “Yeah, I’ll reserve judgement if you don’t mind. Hey, Mikami-san, speaking of battle royals…has anybody told you that you look like that guy from the movie?”

Joanna Tarzanna vs. Pepsi Ayano
Championship of Seishin Tournament (Block B) Singles Match

Masami Ishikawa: “The following match is a Block B match in the Championship of Seishin tournament, and is scheduled for one fall with a twenty minute time limit!”
Joanna exits from behind the curtain and bangs her chest and lets out a loud roar then runs down to the ring, and if there is an opponent already in the ring she will pace around the outside, staring at her opponent, stalking her prey like a jungle cat, she then slides into the ring, climbing the turnbuckles and banging her chest and letting out another loud roar.
Keiji Mikami: “What a roar from the Jungle Girl! She looks ready for a fight, Takahashi-san.”
Tomoko Takahashi: “Yeah, she roars like a beast but with a loss from Kawaishojo Senshi the other week I’m not convinced that she’s anything more than a little kitty cat. Nor am I convinced she is neither an actual jungle girl, nor even a Brazilian.”
“Die in a Fire” by The Living Tombstone (Featuring EileMonty and Orko) starts up and Pepsi Ayano storms out from the back, she pauses at the entrance throwing her arms open wide in a crooked Y, the crazy pop-art robe she wears to the ring dragging 4 feet behind her as she walks to the ring with a twisted smile on her face. Pepsi climbs up the ring steps and wipes her feet before climbing to the top turnbuckle from the outside and again striking her crooked Y pose, and dropping into the ring.
Tomoko Takahashi: “Sweet merciful Buddha, what is that?!”
Keiji Mikami: “That is Pepsi Ayano, from the famous Ayano clan.”
Tomoko Takahashi: “Oh great, another Ayano. Lemme guess, she is the bubbly one of the crazy drunkard family.”
Keiji Mikami: “Actually, according to my sheet she is straight edge.”
Tomoko Takahashi: “Please shoot me…”
Masami Ishikawa: Ladies and gentlemen, first, in the blue corner and hailing from the Amazon...she weighs in at one hundred and eighty-five pounds, The Jungle Girl Joanna Tarzanna!
Fans cheer the amazon as blue and yellow streamers are tossed into the ring. After a moment of cleaning, Masami continues.
Masami Ishikawa: Her opponent in the red corner, from Bad Street, Japan. She weighs in at one hundred and twenty-seven pounds...the Pixie Vampyre, Pepsi Ayano!
There's a bit of a mixed reaction from the crowd as black and purple streamers hit the ring. A cleaning crew rushes them out while Masami departs from the ring. Soon after, the bell sounds and the two practically run into one another ready to start the match.
Keiji Mikami: And already Ayano is showing us just how reckless she can be in the ring. She's giving away around sixty pounds here!
Tomoko Takahashi: I don't see it that way. Pepsi's just in there getting into the head of that jungle freak. See, I'm sure Joanna was all “Pepsi's not gonna try and match my strength” and right there--
Joanna shoves Pepsi away and the smaller Joshi takes a tumble in the form of a backward somersault landing against the ropes.
Keiji Mikami: And get tossed around like that?
Tomoko Takahashi: No, this is part of Pepsi's strategy. She's going to oversell Joanna's strength and just when she thinks she has the upper hand because of it.
Joanna takes hold of Pepsi's top and spins a couple times before launching the Ayano family member straight to the other corner of the ring.
Tomoko Takahashi: Fight back, you idiot!
Pepsi takes a moment to shake her head clean as Joanna comes out toward her looking to continue the assault. Ayano fights back, however, with a sudden drop toe hold. She's to her feet quick as Joanna comes to hers. The Jungle Girl rushes Pepsi who gets in another drop toe hold. This time, upon rising back up, Pepsi rushes to the ropes and comes back with a quick front dropkick that's only batted away as Joanna is already to her knees.
Keiji Mikami: Pepsi had something going there. Unfortunately it was rather short lived.
Ayano certainly fights to get her head back into the game as she makes it to her feet but is quickly grabbed by Joanna who throws her hard against the corner turnbuckle. Joanna then goes in for a hard clothesline but Pepsi manages to get out of the way just in time to come back around with a dropkick forcing the Jungle Girl into the corner instead. Pepsi quickly scales up to the middle rope where she begins pounding down some fist shots against Joanna's head. After the fifth or so shot, Pepsi flips herself up holding her body vertically for a short while...
Keiji Mikami: What's Pepsi doing here?
And comes swinging back down driving both her knees into Joanna's gut!
Tomoko Takahashi: Taking control of the match.
Pepsi hops back and celebrates her move as Joanna tumbles from the corner crawling her way along the ropes coughing until a few red splatters come out from her mouth.
Keiji Mikami: Joanna's coughing up blood!
Tomoko Takahashi: Now this match is firmly in Pepsi's ballpark.
Masami Ishikawa: Five minutes have passed!
Pepsi saunters over stepping over the crawling Joanna jerking her head back by her hair so everyone can see the blood before she begins clubbing the side of her head with hefty forearm shots. After a few of those, Pepsi heads over and ascends to the top rope looking to put this thing away for good.
Keiji Mikami: Pepsi's taking the high risk here!
After taking a moment to prepare, Joanna suddenly surprises Pepsi by surging toward the corner and planting a fist in her opponent’s face and dazing her for a few moments while Joanna sets Pepsi up for a superplex. Joanna lifts, but finds no gain as Pepsi struggles to free herself from the Jungle Girl, but they both lose balance and unexpectedly spill out onto the floor outside the ring.
The referee begins the twenty count.

Keiji Mikami: Pepsi and Joanna are still on the floor. It looks like that both of them are hurt really bad after that nasty spill, Takahashi-san!
Tomoko Takahashi: One of them had better get up and climb back into that ring, or else it’s going to end up as a double count-out!

The fans cheer and clap for their chosen joshi to get back into the ring, cheering each of their names but it seems that their voices would do little to motivate either of them to get to their feet. They were still lying on the floor, in pain, as the referee continued his count.

The referee calls for the bell, and the fans inside the hall were stunned into silence by this outcome. Both Pepsi and Joanna were only just showing signs of life other than pained groans and squirming. The referee then climbs out of the ring, and walked over to Masami the ring announcer. She rises from her seat before he says something to her, and then she brings her microphone to her lips.
Masami Ishikawa: Ladies and gentlemen, the match has concluded in a double count-out. Therefore, the referee has decided that neither participant is the winner!
Naturally, this prompts a chorus of groans and booing from the fans.
Keiji Mikami: You heard it right here, everyone! This match is a double loss for both of those women!
Tomoko Takahashi: But what does that mean for the tournament?! We need to have a winner, here!
Keiji Mikami: I do not know. Hopefully we can get an update on this, soon enough.
