JOSHI INFORMATION
--------------------------
Real Name:
Reiko Tanaka
Ring Name:
REINA Reiko
Nickname(s):
REINA, Queen of Puroresu, Rei-chan
Height:
5'2"
Weight:
117lbs
Picture Base:
Io Shirai (masked or unmasked, Reiko alternates)
Date of Birth:
September 17th, 1994
Hometown:
Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan
Alignment:
Face
Wrestling Style:
Lucha Libre
Strengths:
Determination: Reiko isn't the largest, the strongest, the most experienced or even the fastest of competitors. However, she has a big heart and a never-say-quit attitude that (usually) gets her through the toughest of fights.
Wrestling Prodigy: It would seem that Reiko was born to be a wrestler, and as such she could be considered a kind of prodigy. As such, although Reiko has only been a wrestler for little over a year, she has the skill and ring awareness of a seasoned veteran, which should come as a surprise for opponents who expected to face some mere rookie.
Weaknesses (At least 2):
Overly Emotional: Reiko is the kind of woman who wears her big heart on her sleeve, and as such if a savvy opponent could make her mad, they could take advantage of her emotional state and throw Reiko off of her game.
Glutton for Punishment: While she can take a beating for some odd reason her opponents seem to beat on her more than they would any other person. Maybe her being so nice rubs people the wrong way.

ENTRANCE INFORMATION
-------------------------------
Entrance Music:
"Blue Water, Blue Sky" by Daisuke Ishiwatari
Entrance Description:
The opening guitar riff of Daisuke Ishiwatari's "Blue Water, Blue Sky" blasted through the venue's speakers and the fans went wild, cheering loudly for the Japanese sensation that was Reiko Tanaka, better known to wrestling fans as REINA Reiko.
The cameras pan around the arena, taking in shots of the cheering fans until one of them zoomed in and caught sight of Reiko standing at the top of one of the aisles, clad in her ring gear; a brightly coloured top and shorts with black trimmings. She wore a white studded belt around her waist and brightly coloured sleeves over her forearms, and completing the ensemble were knee pads and a pair of white boots with stripes that ran down the front of each boot, the same colour as the rest of her gear.
Reiko stood there waving at said camera and giving it a bright and happy smile. Reiko then made her way down the stairs, slapping hands with the fans and even stopping her descent to give one of the younger fans a big hug.
She continued her descent, seemingly trying to greet every single fan that was in her path, until she reached the guardrail. As soon as she climbed over the guardrail, Reiko quickly ran around the ring with her arms outstretched like the wings of an airplane, one of her hands brushing against those of the fans as she circled the ring.
As soon as she was done circling, Reiko then climbed the nearest ringpost and raised her hands high as soon as she reached the top, a gesture that was greeted with a massive cheer from the fans. She then jumped off the top turnbuckle with a 450-style acrobatic display before landing on her feet in the ring and began jumping up and down, stretching her arms as the music cuts out, waiting for the match to begin.

BIOGRAPHY
---------------
REINA Reiko may possibly be one of the greatest - if not the greatest - examples of overcoming the odds that Seishin has ever seen.
REINA Reiko was born Reiko Tanaka in 1994, to parents Daisuke and Natsumi Tanaka in Yokohama, Japan. During her earliest years, Reiko had the same kind of happy childhood that most children had. She was just like every other kid up until she turned eight years old, when one day Reiko walked out of a doctor's office with the knowledge that she had just been diagnosed with leukaemia.
The next couple of years were hard, not just for Reiko but for everyone in her family; her parents and her older sister. Her home-away-from-home was a hospital bed, spending more time there than at home. She practically lived at the hospital, and her only friends were just as sick as she was. One day, after a particularly rough treatment against the disease, a bedridden Reiko grew bored and decided to wander in search of something better to do than lay in bed all alone. She found it.
When she wandered into the children's ward's common room, she found some of the other sick children sitting close together, watching a wrestling show on television. Having never watched a wrestling show before that fateful day, Reiko was mesmerised by what unfolded before her eyes. She had become an instant fan of puroresu, and after the show had ended Reiko returned to her bed, her heart filled with a dream. A dream which she would see come true, no matter what.
"I want to do that!"
As often as her health would allow it, Reiko pestered her parents to let her attend the wrestling events that came to Yokohama, still as amazed by it all as that first time and taking strength from each wrestling match to keep her going, so that she would one day make her dream come true.
Time passed as it usually does and there came a time when Reiko received the best news her young heart could take: she was cured, and she could finally make that dream that kept her going, that gave her hope, come true.
When she was able, she enrolled in one of the infamous Japanese dojos, to begin her training. She took to it like a fish to water, impressing her sensei enough to consider her a prodigy in the ring. The smile she wore on her face for every hardship she had to endure impressed her teacher even nore. She never complained, even when she had to scrub the floors.
As she trained, she entered into brief contracts with some of the smaller wrestling promotions, taking whatever crap job that came her way, until she met an old luchador who was visiting Japan who offered to teach her the art of lucha libre. Before she knew it she was on a flight to Mexico.
She learned much as she did at the dojo, impressing the old luchador and her other teachers with her heart and skill.
She impressed them to the point where they called her "Reina de la Lucha Libre" behind her back. Learning of this, Reiko took it as her name, with her own twist, of course; REINA Reiko, Queen of Puroresu.
Reiko Tanaka has lived through a story that would make all but the hardest of hearts weep. At a young age, Reiko has overcome obstacles that no child should have to endure, and has defeated an opponent very few people have even faced, let alone survived the fight; her own body. Compared to that, who were her opponents in the squared circle?
