"I can't think of a better person to represent an organization built on a combination of beauty and strength."
The scene opens on a Japanese woman built like a tank. She is dressed in a simple black t-shirt and black yoga pants with a stripe down the leg. Despite most of her body being covered, there is no mistaking her immense frame, or that the size comes from muscle and not fat. She is smiling into the camera as she speaks.
"For years, people told me that I could never be beautiful because I was a bodybuilder. For years I disagreed with them. After I retired from competition, people stiill told me I could never be beautiful unless I slimmed down. I disagreed and kept my figure while pursuing a successful career as a personal trainer.
Now I will, I've little doubt, be told I cannot fit in with a group of women in an organization designed to promote beauty because I don't conform to the image of beauty that most people have. I'll go ahead and say that I don't plan on changing a thing about myself, and that anyone who tries to tell me otherwise is just wasting their breath.
For the ones that persist...well, the wrestling ring will be where I must convince you otherwise."
The beaming smile on Kotone's face fades a little bit as she gets down to business.
"I'm not going to stand here and claim that I am the best wrestler in the world. That would be a ridiculous claim going into my first ever wrestling match. But I have spent a lifetime honing my body into the powerful machine you see before you. I know what it feels like to dig deep to get results, but I also know what it feels like to dig deep and have nothing left, and I am not naive enough to think I will never feel that again. What I can tell Miss Megami, and anyone else who faces me after her, is that you will have to completely incapacitate me if you want to get by me. I will not quit until I have nothing left to give.
Will I find someone in this tournament who can outlast me, or who can simply outwrestle me? I have no doubt I will. But I promise that I will hit the hardest out of anyone, and I will take more hits as well as everyone. I've had to fight tooth and nail to get where I am, so don't expect an easy win out of me just because I'm a newbie.
Or, to put it another, simpler way: if you don't play the 'Who are you?' card, I won't play the 'Wrestlin will never be the same now that I'm here" card. I'll just work hard and carve my place in the business the old fashioned way."
Kotone's smile remains on her lips as the scene fades to black.
