The scene opens inside Sunhealth Gym, in Newport (Wales). Natalie - who is wearing a pair of dark grey leggings and a cyan crop top - is sat in front of a wrestling ring, on a black steel folding chair; on the floor, by the chair, is a black gym bag.
Natalie sits up straight, looks to the camera, and speaks.
'Greetings, from one of the newest members of the roster. I'm delighted to have joined Seishin, and am looking forward to debuting on the next show - I haven't competed in a match since the end of May, and so, after four months of kicking my heels, I'm eager to get started. The main reason for my absence from the ring is that in June, I dislocated my left shoulder. Now though, my shoulder is fully healed, and more than strong enough for me to be able to throw an opponent - or six - over the top rope.'
Natalie taps her shoulder.
'I'm not in Seishin just to make up the numbers, and the same goes for my upcoming match - I want to be successful, and I aim to start by winning this battle royal. I believe the winner of the battle royal will be awarded a trophy, and I think that would be an ideal souvenir for me to take home from my first visit to Japan. I know it won't be easy, but then, I've never shied away from hard work.'
Natalie retrieves a piece of paper from her bag.
'Bianca Davis, Britney Drew, Kaya Lovelace, Michiko Yamada, Molly Cyrus, and Ursula Areano: my six opponents.'
Natalie then drops the paper.
'The one I'm most familiar with is Bianca Davis, although this will be the first time we've been opponents. Six months ago, I made Bianca's mentor - Veronica Taylor - tap out, and I have no doubt that I'll be able to inflict a similar amount of punishment on Bianca, to ensure that she won't stop me from winning the battle royal. As for the others...ladies, I apologise for not knowing you as well as I perhaps ought to, but I've got nearly two weeks to study you, and by the time the match starts, I'll be fully prepared - I'll know exactly what I need to do, in order to get the better of each of you.'
Natalie taps her chin with her left index finger.
'What will give me the edge over my opponents in the battle royal?'
She glances at her arms, but thinks better of flexing them.
'I may not be the most polished wrestler in this match, but I'm certainly the fittest, and the strongest. A battle royal can be a war of attrition, and I have the endurance necessary for me to outlast the other six women, and emerge victorious.'
Natalie stands up.
'Well, I can't sit here all day talking to you - I have a match to prepare for; I'll see you again soon.'
As Natalie smiles towards the camera, the scene fades to black.
