The video package began with a close up shot of Seishin’s general manager Mariko Inoue sitting behind a beautifully crafted wooden desk inside of a lovely office in what looked like some high-rise tower overlooking the rest of Tokyo. Mariko was dressed handsomely in a sharp business suit and her hair and make-up were done to perfection. She looked like the picture perfect corporate executive, which, as general manager, she kind of was.

She gave the camera a warm, friendly smile.

Mariko Inoue: “Good afternoon, Seishin fans! Before I say anything else, may I just say that I was deeply touched by the support you have given Seishin, and for the success of our first ever show. Speaking for myself and for Seishin’s owner, Hyuga Toru, nothing else has made us happier, thus far!”

Mariko gave the camera a tiny bow from behind her desk before she continued.

Mariko Inoue: “And now to the matter at hand, and I will be as brief as possible as you no doubt would rather see some action. I am pleased to announce that effective immediately we will be holding a tournament to determine the first ever Champion of Seishin! Tonight we shall hold Block A of the tournament, followed by Block B at the next show. After that will be the quarter-finals, then the semi-finals, and we plan to hold the finals at our first ever supershow, to be held at the world famous Tokyo Dome in a ladder match for the title!”

There was a pause, and then…

Mariko Inoue: “That was all I had to say. To all of the participants, I wish the best of luck as they begin their struggle to become our first ever champion. And to all of our fans watching at home and at the Korakuen Hall, please enjoy the show!”

Mariko gave the camera another small bow and flashed it another smile before the video package faded into nothing.

We are Seishin #2

Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Dome City, Tokyo

As soon as the video package had ended, the Seishin cameras open inside a Korakuen Hall that was filled to the brim with wrestling fans, waiting for the second edition of We are Seishin to begin. Hanging from the balconies were several large banners brought in by some of the fans. One of the cameras panned across some of them, catching colourful paintings of Kai Shizuka and Kawaishojo Sehshi, and words such as ‘#SaitoSmash’ and ‘Team PRD is PRD good!’ written across others.

Keiji Mikami: “Good evening everyone, and welcome to We are Seishin, here at the Korakuen Hall here at the Tokyo Dome City in Tokyo! I’m Mikami Keiji, here to with my broadcast partner Takahashi Tomoko!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Mikami-san, you heard it from our general manager, right here. This edition of We are Seishin is all about the tournament to determine the first ever Champion of Seishin!”

Keiji Mikami: “You are correct, Takahashi-san! Tonight is going to feature Block A of the tournament, and it looks like a great card. First we’ll have Luna Tarzanna going up against Valkyrie.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Let’s hope this little jungle girl does better than her sister did! I didn’t even know that Joanna had a sister. But that’s not all, we also have Meiko, so failed idol from Team PRD squaring off against Enriquetta Nicoletta Igranye…something, something.”

Keiji Mikami: “Let’s just call her E.N.I.G.M.A. for short. Anyway, after that it’s going to be Azola versus Ayano Merlot, and after the defeat she suffered at the hands of Shura, you can bet that Merlot is not in the best of moods tonight.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Yeah, cry me a river, Merlot. Anyway, after that match we also have Kai Shizuka going up against the debuting Saint Saito. I heard about that kid, she sounds like some angry teenager.”

Keiji Mikami: “She is an angry teenager. But then we have our main event for the evening, and that is the ‘Alpha Bitch’ Jacqui M versus Etsuko Mitzusaka! I have a good feeling about tonight, Takahashi-san.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “We’ll see, Mikami-san. We’ll see.”

Match One

Luna Tarzanna vs. Valkyrie

Championship of Seishin Tournament (Block A) Singles Match

Masami Ishikawa: The following match is a Block A match in the Champion of Seishin tournament and is scheduled for one fall with a twenty minute time limit!


Luna exits from behind the curtain and lets out her jungle call and walks slowly to the ring, preparing for the upcoming battle, she then slides into the ring and makes a perch on the top turnbuckle, waiting for the bell to ring.


Keiji Mikami: Luna Tarzanna looks ready to advance tonight.


Tomoko Takahashi: Not if her opponent has anything to say about.


The lights fade to black, the piano introduction of Nightwish' “Moondance” begins to play. As the drums and guitar kick in, a firebreathers torch lights up before a fireball blasts from the stage as the lights fade back up, revealing Valkyrie standing tall, staring at the torch as she spits a second gout of flame from her lips, before discarding the torch and making her way to the ring.


At ringside, she sheds her leather trenchcoat and vaults up onto the apron before she presses down on the top rope and steps over the top rope, making her way to her corner before she drops to her knees.


Keiji Mikami: And here’s Valkyrie, a big and strong woman.



Tomoko Takahashi: I have a feeling she’s winning this match just on experience alone.



The two commentators continue to talk about the two ladies as Masami Ishikawa begins the introductions.



Masami Ishikawa: Introducing first, in the red corner, from The Amazon Jungle in Brazil and weighing in at 143 lbs, Luna Tarzana!



The crowd cheers as Green and Yellow streamers flow into the ring and Luna drops from the corner and waves to the crowd and the ring crew quickly cleans up the colored paper.



Masami Ishikawa: And her opponent, in the blue corner, from Roskilde, Denmark and weighing in at 220 lbs, Valkyrie!



The crowd boos as red and white streamers rain down on Valkyrie who raises her hands high in the air and circles the ring as the ring crew quickly rids the ring of the paper.



The bell rings the two ladies circle the ring staring each other down as Luna lunges at Valkyrie looking to grab her but, Valkyrie uses her quickness to quickly go behind Luna and wrap her up in a waist lock. Luna though quickly reverses it and picks Valkyrie up and slams her into the mat face first. Valkyrie seems unfazed though and hops back to her feet and quickly grabs ahold of Luna and throws her down to the mat. Valkyrie then starts to stomp away at Luna as she tries to cover up. Luna quickly scampers to the ropes as Valkyrie starts to send kicks in her direction as the ref pulls Valkyrie off of Luna. Luna makes it back to her feet and Valkyrie quickly goes back on the offensive with an Irish Whip into the ropes. Luna comes off the ropes and Valkyrie jumps and lands a Thesz Press before showering Luna with lefts and rights. Valkyrie then picks Luna up and sends her towards the corner. Luna though grabs the top rope and floats over Valkyrie as she charges in and goes face first into the turnbuckle pads. Luna quickly grabs Valkyrie and rolls her up for a pin. 1...2...kickout!


Both ladies make it to their feet as they stare at each other again and the crowd cheers for the latest exchange by the ladies. The two ladies circle the ring once again and this time, the two of them lock up and Valkyrie forces Luna into the corner as the ref calls for a break. Valkyrie breaks the lockup but grabs Luna around the waist and tosses her half way across the ring with a German Suplex. Valkyrie quickly runs over and goes for a cover. 1...2...kickout! Valkyrie quickly pulls Luna up off the mat and sends her into the ropes. Luna comes off the ropes and ducks a clothesline attempt by Valkyrie and hits the ropes again. Valkyrie turns around and is met with a forearm smash by Luna. Valkyrie stumbles back but, she doesn’t leave her feet. Luna comes off the ropes again and hits Valkyrie with another forearm smash but, it still doesn’t take Valkyrie off her feet. Luna hits the ropes for a third time and this time she looks to hit a drop kick but, Valkyrie swats her out of the air and Luna lands on the mat hard.



Masami Ishikawa: Five minutes have elapsed!



Keiji Mikami: Five minutes in and it seems like nothing Luna does hurts Valkyrie. She may need to switch her game plan up and use her quickness to get an advantage.



Tomoko Takahashi: Just look at Valkyrie, the woman is a monster in the Joshi world and Seishin is her playground. No way she loses this match.



Valkyrie pulls Luna up off the mat and quickly picks her up and slams her to the mat with a gutwrench suplex. Valkyrie picks Luna up again and this time lands a fisherman’s suplex and bridges up for a pin. 1...2...kickout!



Keiji Mikami: It looks like Valkyrie is just toying with Luna now.



Tomoko Takahashi: And why not? She’s in control of this match and can end it anytime she wants to.



Valkyrie picks Luna up again off the mat and this time, she throws Luna on her shoulder and points to the corner pads. Valkyrie comes charging towards the corner and looks to throw Luna into the pads but, Luna slips out and pushes Valkyrie face first into the corner pads and as Valkyrie stumbles back, Luna jumps and delivers a neckbreaker. Luna quickly goes for a cover. 1...Valkyrie throws Luna off of her with ease as she crawls to the ropes and works her way up to her feet. Luna comes rushing in but, Valkyrie lowers herself and launches Luna to the floor. Luna hits the floor and is in clear pain. The referee starts his twenty count as Valkyrie rolls to the outside and picks Luna up to her feet. Valkyrie grabs Luna by the arm and whips her shoulder first into the steps on the outside. The ref has reached a count of ten at this point and Valkyrie picks Luna up off the floor and slams the head of Luna into the steps a few times before rolling her into the ring. Valkyrie slides in after and picks Luna up with a grin on her face as the crowd boos her. Valkyrie lifts Luna high into the air and quickly drops her with the Allfather Drop! Valkyrie quickly goes for a cover. 1...2...3...Luna got her shoulder up much to the satisfaction of the crowd her starts to get behind the warrior.



Valkyrie looks at her fallen opponent and laughs as she walks around the ring taunting the fans and Luna. Valkyrie then walks over to pick Luna up but, Luna grabs Valkyrie and rolls her up for a pin. 1...2...kickout Vlakyrie quickly makes it back to her feet and delivers a hard Muy Thai style kick right to the head of Luna as she falls motionless to the mat again. Valkyrie goes for a cover 1...2...3...kickout!



Keiji Mikami: Luna just won’t stay down.



Tomoko Takahashi: Then she’s dumber than I thought. Valkyrie is about to end the match, just watch this.



Valkyrie lets out a scream as she picks Luna up gutwrench style and quickly delivers Freyja’s Justice! Valkyrie though, doesn’t go for the pin. Instead, she picks Luna up and quickly locks her into the Forfærdelig! Luna screams out in pain but refuses to tap right away but, Valkyrie applies more pressure and eventually, Luna has no choice but to tap out to the submission move.



Masami Ishikawa: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the match by submission… Valkyrie!



Keiji Mikami: Valkyrie looked dominant here tonight.



Tomoko Takahashi: I don’t think there is anyone on the roster who can beat her in this tournament.

Match Two

E.N.I.G.M.A. vs. Meiko

Championship of Seishin Tournament (Block A) Singles Match

Masami Ishikawa: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is a singles match set for one fall with a twenty minute time limit!"

The short intro plays out through the arena and following that the lights begin to flash at the ramp as Meiko makes her appearance, microphone headset in place as she sings along to the song. Bumping her head to the music, she draws her right hand into a fist, places it in front of her face, and kisses it before raising it up in celebration. Meiko makes her way towards the ring with a slight hop in her step, casually gliding her non-fist palm along the fans that are hoping for a high five. In the ring, she removes the microphone and delivers an enthusiastic 'V' to the adoring fans and retreats to a corner, stretching out her legs while waiting for the bell to sound

Tomoko Takahashi: This will be a rather short contest.

Keiji Mikami: How do you figure that? Meiko has shown she's going to be putting her all into this match.

Tomoko Takahashi: Raggs has said it best when she brought up that Meiko is alone in this matchup. Honestly, Meiko and Junko should've waited until the Ladies of Seishin scene opened up.

"The lights of the arena suddenly fade and "Drove Through Ghosts" by 65daysofstatic starts playing. The spotlight then points to the entrance where two figures are seen coming from it. When they look up it's clear they are using white porcelain masks depicting a fox, with red mouth and eyes. Some people could recognize the masks as being used by the national idol metal group "BabyMetal".


When they arrive to the ring, E.N.I.G.M.A. bows and Raggs takes her mask out, and then moves out of the ring, leaving the wrestler alone."

Keiji Mikami: And here comes eNigma, the young hopeful to the future of this company. Or so her manager has told us.

Tomoko Takahashi: And so we'll see. You can't be putting down people just because they're trying to rise themselves up.

Keiji Mikami: Call me old fashioned then, but when it comes to putting down an entire roster one has to think it only fair to return in kind.

As the crowd goes silent, Masami Ishikawa comes to the middle of the ring with microphone in hand.

Masami Ishikawa: In the ring first, from the red corner...from Harajuku, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan...Meiko!

Meiko steps from the corner throwing up another V for Victory as the fans show their adulation for the young icon sensation with further cheers and a showering of pink and gold streamers covering the ring. Once they've been cleared away, Masami continues.

Keiji Mikami: In the blue corner, from Tokyo...Enriquetta Nicoletta Igranye Genievan Mellissann Annarietta!

Enriquette barely reacts much as the fans boo and black and grey streamers are thrown to the ring. Masami exits the ring while the streamers are cleaned and the match is signaled to begin.

Keiji Mikami: And we're off!

Tomoko Takahashi: Not entirely.

Meiko appears a little apprehensive at the start looking back at her empty corner and Enriquetta charges forward catching the PRD member off guard with a flying forearm knocking her against the corner. The faster of the two superstars continues her assault with basic forearm shots before whipping the pop icon against the ropes catching her with a jumping back elbow upon her return.

Tomoko Takahashi: Still think pop icons hold a place in the ring?

Keiji Mikami: This is just the start and Meiko was only trying to convince herself that she was truly alone out there tonight.

Tomoko Takahashi: Mmhm. Did you see Meiko's promo? Just a game of “how fast I can talk”.

Inside the ring, Enriquetta has Meiko back to her feet and backs her up against the ropes. Following a few hard chops, Enriquetta goes for a monkey flip to the middle of the ring. However, Meiko manages to flip through the move and land herself on her feet. She stumbles a bit forward but finds herself able to both turn and crash into Annarietta with a clothesline. Meiko follows it up with a couple of stomps then brings Enriquetta back up to her feet bringing her up and over with a belly to belly slamming her down hard against the canvas.

Keiji Mikami: Meiko firmly now in control of this match here.

However, following the move Meiko instinctively goes for a tag before realizing the sort of match she's in. She turns narrowly avoiding a vicious clothesline from Enriquetta and instead catches her with a back kick followed up with a snapping DDT and pinning combination. The ref dives in to make the count but Enriquetta kicks out before the one. Meiko then just brings Enriquetta up to her feet and walks her over to the corner as if again looking for a tag but this time just drops her against the pads where she starts laying down some kicking blows to the midsection.

Keiji Mikami: Looks as if Meiko has finally realized she's alone in this match.

Tomoko Takahashi: Took her long enough.

Meiko takes hold of Enriquetta's hand and sends her running to the opposing corner. Although before connecting, Enriquetta hits a baseball slide and quickly scurries to her feet rushing back out clocking the icon with a spinning heel kick. Meiko collapses to the ring as Enriquetta gets up crouching in behind Meiko where she snaps in a reverse chin lock bringing Meiko back down to the canvas where she converts it to a full sleeper hold.

Keiji Mikami: Sleeper hold applied, but only momentarily.

Indeed as Enriquetta comes back up with a rear chin lock and hops over keeping the hold as she bridges over Meiko bending her spine. Meiko begins to flail her arms about trying to hit something of Enriquetta's but finds herself incapable of doing that.

Keiji Mikami: Submission hold applied! This is a smart strategy by Enriquetta as Meiko may be used to having Junko making the save in these situations.

Masami Ishikawa: Five minutes have passed!

Finding that out doesn't really help Meiko any as Enriquetta repositions her footing while trying to maintain a perfect bridge. Eventually, Meiko manages to kick her legs in and pull her ankles back so she can get to her knees. She then uses her strength advantage to get up to her feet.

Keiji Mikami: Meiko is fighting out of it!



She tries but at the last moment of getting to her feet, Enriquetta manages a quick side headlock take down on the young icon. It's then followed up by a quick springboard moonsault off the ropes prompting the ref to come in and begin making the count.

One! 

Two! 

Three! 

The bell sounds as Enriquetta rises up to her knees where the ref goes to raise her arm. Unfortunately, before she can Raggs comes in and does it in her place.



Masami Ishikawa: Here is your winner via pinfall...Enriquetta Nicoletta Igranye Genievan Mellissann Annarietta!



Keiji Mikami: I can only assume Masami was hoping Enriquetta wouldn't win just for the sake of calling her name alone.



Tomoko Takahashi: Hush. Now that this farce of a match is over, she can finally move on toward her goal of becoming champion!



Keiji Mikami: She'll have the rest of the tournament to go through, remember that.

Match Three

Azola vs. Merlot Ayano

Championship of Seishin Tournament (Block A) Singles Match

Masami Ishikawa: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is a singles match set for one fall with a twenty minute time limit!”

Azola enters from behind the curtain and blows a kiss to the fans before she walks down to the ring, she slaps hands with the fans before she walks up the steel steps and enters the ring between the middle and top ropes.

Keiji Mikami: “First we have Azola coming to the ring. On her own this time, and not being accompanied by Joanna Tarzanna.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “And again with the damn bra and panties! Can she not afford ring gear or something?!”

“Burning White” by Crossfaith begins to kick into full force. The lights in the arena dim just a little bit. Pockets of fans begin to cheer throughout the arena.

The camera quickly cuts to a section of the audience, located somewhere close to the entrance ramp. Those fans are decked out in various “Ayano” merch and swag.

As the song’s guitars begin to blare, Merlot Ayano walks out from the back, dressed in her ring attire and a black and silver ring jacket. She peers out at the crowd for a moment before her eyes fixate on the ring. She cracks her neck before making her way down to the ring. Merlot bumps fists and interacts a bit with the “Ayano” section before making it to the base of the ring.

Merlot pats on her kickpads and wipes her boots before sliding into the ring. In the corner, she pulls on the ropes and stretches a bit. She then takes off her ring jacket and lifts up her arms―a portion of the fans cheer. She then goes back to the corner and waits for the bell to ring.

Keiji Mikami: “And her opponent, Merlot Ayano, and she truly does not look all that pleased, Takahashi-san.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Why? Because she got beat by a twenty-year veteran? Merlot should be honoured!”

The hall grew to silence as both women took to their corners, and Masami took her place in the centre of the ring with her microphone in her hands.

Masami Ishikawa: “Introducing first, in the red corner… From Sao Paulo, Brazil and weighing in at 160lbs… Azola!”

The tall Brazillian woman smiled and waved at the clapping fans as yellow and green coloured streamers flew from ringside. Masami waited for the ring crew to clear the ring and she continued as soon as their work was done.

Masami Ishikawa: “And her opponent, in the blue corner… From Osaka, Osaka Prefecture and weighing in at 118lbs. Representing the Ayano Clan… ’Silent Rain’ Ayano Merlot!!”

Merlot just stood there and rolled her neck around as violet and grey coloured streamers were being tossed into the ring. The ring crew went back in to clear the ring of coloured paper, and both joshi approached the referee as he made his way to the centre of the ring. Merlot and Azola stare at one another as the referee asked if both competitors were ready to begin their match.

They both nodded.

Ding! Ding!

Merlot was on Azola like a shot, tackling the larger woman to the mat and she began to pound her face in.

Keiji Mikami: “And Merlot is on the instant offensive!”

Merlot grabs Azola by the wrist and pulls the larger woman to a seated position before cracking her across the chest with a shoot kick that sent her back onto the mat. Merlot grabbed her wrist again, sat her up and hit her with another shoot kick across the chest before stomping on her chest repeatedly. After a couple more moments of stomping the Brazillian woman down, Merlot backed away and went for the ropes, rebounded and then she hit Azola with an elbow drop.

Merlot scrambles to her feet and then pulls Azola to hers before throwing her into the corner with an Irish whip. As soon as the larger woman hit the corner pad, Merlot was surging close but before the Ayano woman could do anything further, Azola slipped out of the corner just as Merlot was about to hit her with a lariat, and as she slammed against the corner pad Azola turned around and wrapped her arms around the Ayano woman’s waist and slammed her onto the mat with a German suplex.

Tomoko Takahashi: “Okay, so I’ll admit it that was a pretty slick counter from the Brazilian model.”

Keiji Mikami: “But can this second wind of hers last?!”

Azola moves over and takes Merlot by the arm before she locked in an armbar. The referee dropped to his knees to check on Merlot as she cried out in pain. He asked her if she wished to submit but she refused. She tried to struggle out of the hold but Azola had it locked in tightly.

Keijo Mikami: “Nice armbar from Azola. She has it locked in tight and Merlot is going to have a hard time breaking out of it!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “If I ever learned one thing in my time as a joshi, Mikami-san, is there’s always a way out of a submission. The trick is finding it!”

Merlot cried out in pain once again just before she managed to roll over to the side in an impressive feat of strength and roll Azola up for the pin. The referee begins the count.

1!

2!

But Azola kicks out.

Masami Ishikawa: “Five minutes have elapsed!”

Keiji Mikami: “Five minutes have already passed and impressive roll-up from Merlot Ayano!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “See? What did I tell you?! Even dumbasses from drunkard families like the Ayanos can find a way out of a hold if they put their minds to it!”

The two women struggle onto the mat, and Azola soon got the advantage, hammering down on the Ayano woman’s face. Suddenly, Merlot turned over Azola and hammered some blows of her own. The match has suddenly become some kind of catfight and the referee was forced to break them up. He pulled Merlot off of Azola and forced her into the corner, telling Merlot to keep it clean while giving Azola a chance to get back to her feet. The referee released Merlot and the two women circle one another in the centre of the ring.

They lock arms, each struggling for dominance before Azola used her size advantage and managed to get Merlot into a headlock, wrenching the Ayano woman’s neck for all she was worth. Moments later, and Merlot managed to push Azola off of her and into the ropes, and as the Brazilian woman rebounded and came back to Merlot, she was grabbed by the wrist and taken down to the mat by Merlot, who wrenched Azola’s arm back with a fujiwara armbar. Azola cried out in pain as she felt her arm bending backwards, but she refused the referee’s call to submit. Almost ten seconds later, Merlot let up with the hold only to climb over Azola’s back, sitting on her shoulder and wrenching back once more with a seated version of the fujiwara armbar.

Keiji Mikami: “Sen'i Sōshitsu! Ayano Merlot has the seated fujiwara locked in and Azola is in the centre of the ring with nowhere to go!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Unless she manages to break the hold, Ayano has her beat!”

Azola screamed in agony as Merlot wrenched back even further, almost threatening to pop the Brazilian’s shoulder out of her socket. Azola tried to escape, tried to crawl to the nearest ropes but the pain eventually grew to unbearable levels, and so she elected to submit. The referee called for the bell but Merlot refused to release the submission until he ordered her to release it or be disqualified. Merlot did so, reluctantly, and climbed off of Azola, kicking the proverbial dust onto her fallen opponent, who laid on her stomach cradling her arm.

Masami Ishikawa: “Here is your winner by submission…Ayano Merlot!!”

Keiji Mikami: “Ayano Merlot is next in our growing list of quarter-finalists, and the night isn’t done yet!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “The next match I do believe we have Shizuka Kai, squaring off against the seventeen year old Saint Saito. Great, an airhead fighting a brat… Be still my beating heart!”

Kai Shizuka vs. Saint Saito

Championship of Seishin Tournament (Block A) Singles Match

Masami Ishikawa: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is a singles match set for one fall with a twenty minute time limit!”

“I am the Best” begins to play and Kai skips out through the curtain and waves at the fans with a huge smile on her face before skipping down to the ring and hopping onto the apron and waving at the fans before stepping into the ring and posing in the middle for the fans.

Keiji Mikami: “First comes Shizuka Kai, one of Seishin’s first ever main eventers, and our first main event winner. Let’s see if her good luck lasts here, tonight, Takahashi-san!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Yeah, you’ll forgive me if I don’t hold my breath, Mikami-san.”

The lights inside the venue flicker until cutting off completely, and darkness fills ringside. “Lust SIN” by Daisuke Ishiwatari then began to blast through the speakers and the fans let loose a roaring cheer for the Japanese-American wrestler that is Saint Saito.

Moments pass, until a single spotlight flashes over the stage, bathing Saito in light as she stood on the stage, clad in a beautiful red robe, with patterns golden cherry blossoms stitched along the edges, and near-invisible red dragons stitched into the sleeves.

Saito raises her arms high above to her sides, as if she was being bathed by the light that shone over her. Standing like that for just a few seconds before the lighting returned to normal, Saito then makes her way down to the ring.

As soon as she made her way to the ring arpon, Saito turns and then makes her way up the corner stairs. Upon reaching the top Saito climbed even higher, ascending the ropes and resting a knee at the top as she gazed out into the crowd, taking in all the fans both cheering her on and booing her. She smirks and raises her arms above her like she did previously before climbing down and slipping into the ring.

Still staring out into the crowd as she moves around the ring in an almost-circle, Saito removes her beautiful red robe and tosses it over to a member of the ring crew, before she makes her way to one of the corners and resting lazily against the turnbuckle as she waits for the match to begin.

Keiji Mikami: “And here is Sara Saito, or rather Saint Saito, daughter of Saito Emi of the infamous Saito Sisters.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “If I remember correctly, Saito Emi was the cocky little bitch between her and her sister Sumie. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree after all, from what I hear of this kid.”

The hall went dead silent as Masami Ishikawa made the introductions.

Masami Ishikawa: “Ladies and gentlemen, introducing first in the red corner, from Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture and weighing in at 135lbs… Shizuka Kai!!”

Kai climbed to the middle rope as the ring was covered in blue and gold streamers, and she raised her right leg high above her head in a splits-like fashion before jumping off and landing back onto the mat.

Masami Ishikawa: “And her opponent, in the blue corner, from San Francisco, California but residing in Tokyo, Tokyo Prefecture and weighing in at 120lbs… The New Ace of Joshi Puroresu… Saint Saito!!”

Black and red streamers flew into the ring from ringside as Saito extended her arms to her sides, staring at her opponent as the ring crew worked to clear the ring of the coloured paper.

The referee called both women to meet him in the centre of the ring, they did so, and he asked if they were both ready to begin the match. Kai extended her hand for Saito to shake but the younger woman merely looked down at it and slapped it away with an arrogant laugh. Taking this as their signal to the begin the match the referee called for the bell.

Ding! Ding!

Saito and Kai go face to face, with Saito trying to intimidate her opponent with some trash talking in English. Kai swings a hand at Saito to slap her, but the younger woman simply ducked and went behind, taking Shizuka down to the mat. Kai was on her stomach, and Saito straddled her back, as if riding her and then she just started to slap Kai repeatedly across the back of her head. Eventually, Saito let off and she got back to her feet, laughing at Kai who looked up at Saito, looking upset.

Keiji Mikami: “A display of utter disrespect shown by Saint Saito.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Somehow I’m not surprised that this kid would resort to such behaviour. Just like her mother, she was a disrespectful brat, too.”

Kai gets to her feet, and the two circle each other again before they locked up. Saito locked in a side headlock, and begins wrenching Kai’s neck with a smirk on her face before using the headlock to just toss the Kai to the floor. Kai landed hard onto the mat, and Saito began to parade around the ring, mocking the crowd in English and drawing boos from the fans.

Keiji Mikami: “She sure is a cocky young woman, isn’t she?”

Tomoko Takahashi: “She better make sure that cockiness doesn’t come back to bite her, Mikami-san!”

Kai slid out of the ring to catch her breath, and the referee began to count her out.

Saito turned around to see Kai outside the ring and then she slid out after the older woman. But as Saito slid out, Kai rolled back into the ring and the referee renewed the twenty-count.

Saito rolled back in, but her opponent was there with a basement dropkick. Saito rolled back out to the apron, clutching her jaw for a few seconds before she used the ropes to climb back up and almost out of reflex she managed to quickly catch a charging Kai with a shoulder to the gut. Saito slipped back through the ropes and into the ring and then she whipped Kai into the ropes, she rebounded, and Saito went for a roundhouse kick aimed at Kai’s head. But just before the kick connected, Kai amazingly ducked under Saito’s leg and hooked her arms behind her opponents before hitting Saito with a tiger suplex, much to the fans’ delight.

Keiji Mikami: “Look at that!”

Kai bridges after she hit the suplex, and the referee began the three-count.

But Saito wriggled out of the bridge before the three count was made. Both women stand up and Kai hits Saito with a kick to the gut. She then made for the ropes, rebounded, and then before Kai did anything else Saito caught her with an underhook suplex right out of nowhere. Now it was Saito who made the cover.

And Kai kicked out.

Keiji Mikami: “Great match from both competitors, tonight!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Hmph!”

Masami Ishikawa: “Five minutes have elapsed!”

Saito, with a frown on her face, locked Kai in an kneebar. Kai cried out in pain as her opponent wrenched back with the hold. She looked around, looking a means of escape, but unfortunately she could not find one. Saito bounced on the mat in some effort to increase the pain Kai was feeling in the submission. The ref asked her, repeatedly, if she wanted to submit and each time Kai refused him, in between her cries of pain.

Keiji Mikami: “If Kai doesn’t manage to get out of that kneebar, then it’s only a matter of time before she taps out!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “If that little airhead knew what was best for her she’d try everything she can to get out of it!”

Saito once again started to bounce onto the mat while she kept the kneebar locked in, and this time Kai’s cried were growing louder. But she refused to give up. Though it was a struggle, Kai managed to fight back to her feet with Saito hanging off her leg, but still holding on tightly. In an impressive feat of strength from such a small woman, Kai grabbed Saito by her arms clasped around her leg, and lifted her before slamming her down onto the mat. Saito still held on, and so Kai tried again and again until Saito finally let go of Kai’s leg.

Keiji Mikami: “Kai managed to break the hold!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “For a model, she definitely has some iron in her, I’ll give her that.”

Keiji Mikami: “Again with the 'model' stuff...”

With the fans cheering and clapping, Kai felt a rush of adrenaline that helped her ignore the pain shooting through her knee and she pulled Saito to her feet. She pushed Saito backwards into the corner and then began to fire off right hands to the younger woman’s face, followed by a kick to the gut. She whipped Saito to the opposite corner and charged forward a moment later, hitting her with a running forearm smash before she turned around and cheered alongside the fans.

Tomoko Takahashi: “What are you doing, you idiot, keep on the offensive!”

Saito staggered out of the corner, shaking the cobwebs loose from her head and she was able to stop Kai’s momentum when she grabbed Kai by the shoulders and hopped up, planting her kneed into her opponent’s lower back and falling down onto the mat, taking Kai with her and hitting her with a devastating backstabber. Saito kipped up onto her feet, seemingly with a rush of adrenaline of her own and she smirked over at the crowds, slapping her right knee as Kai slowly climbed onto her feet.

Keiji Mikami: “I don’t like the look of this, Takahashi-san…”

Masami Ishikawa: “Ten minutes have elapsed!”

Kai was using the ring ropes to help climb to an upright position, and as soon as she was on her feet, her opponent charged forward toward the ropes on the opposite side of the ring. She rebounded, and the very moment when Kai turned to face her opponent, Saito leapt into the air and smashed her knee into Kai’s face, forcing her crashing to the mat once again.

Tomoko Takahashi: “Saito Smash!”

Saito goes for the cover.

The referee called for the bell and “Lust SIN” filled the hall once again. Saito stood back onto her feet and demanded that the referee raise her hand in victory. He did so, and a moment later she snatched her arm out from his hand and turned to look down at the fallen Kai and then she blew her a kiss before slipping out of the ring and making her way back to the backstage area.

Masami Ishikawa: “Here is your winner, by pinfall…Saint Saito!”

Keiji Mikami: “Saint Saito did it! She is in the quarter finals!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “But will she be able to advance any further?! Things are only going to get harder as the stakes are raised higher, Mikami-san.”

Etsuko Mitzusaka vs. Jacqui M

Championship of Seishin Tournament (Block A) Singles Match

Masami Ishikawa: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is a singles match set for one fall with a twenty minute time limit!”

Arch Enemy's 'We Will Rise' blares through the speakers, as Jacqui M appears on the platform, devil horns already in the air. As she begins to walk down the entrance way, the blonde allows herself a moment to headbang to her entrance tune, before making her way down to the ring. She enters it without much of a fuss, sheds her leather jacket, and waits for the bell to ring.

Keiji Mikami: “Jacqui Monroe, or Jacqui M, the thirty-two year old from Des Moine, Iowa.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Hmph. Trailer trash. Hey, Mikami-san, looking at this woman right here, I wonder if her parents were related before they were married.”

Keiji Mikami: “Who said they were married?”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Haha! I like that! Good one!”

Keiji Mikami: “I… That’s not what I meant!!”

''Cure for the Itch'' starts up as Etsuko comes out looking around the crowd as Nikki steps out close behind her. With the two standing side by side, they clasp their hands together and eye up at the rafters saying something to themselves almost in unison before bowing their heads. After their prayer has finished, Etsuko and Nikki make their way down to the ring with the former's eyes dead set on the squared circle ahead of them while Nikki tends to switch between her and the crowd. Once at the ring, Etsuko hops up onto the apron while Nikki finds a spot outside watching as her charge steps in through the ropes where she afterward starts stepping around the ring awaiting for the match to start tugging a little at her collar. Outside of the ring, Nikki pulls out the shock collars remote and waits patiently as well.

Tomoko Takahashi: “I… What the hell is that around her neck?!”

Keiji Mikami: “According to my sheet that is some kind of shock collar. Apparently it’s meant to provide some incentive for Etsuko to keep fighting and to keep it clean.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Of all the weird stuff I’ve seen in this business, not once have I ever seen anything like that! Is that even legal?”

Keiji Mikami: “It’s being used on herself, so… I guess? You can’t exactly be disqualified for harming yourself with a foreign object.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Why the hell would you harm yourself, full stop?!”

The hall went silent once again as Masami Ishikawa took her position in the centre of the ring and made the introductions.

Masami Ishikawa: “Ladies and gentlemen, introducing at this time in the blue corner, from Des Moines, Iowa and weighing in at 152lbs… the ‘Alpha Bitch’…Jacqui M!”

Jacqui gave her opponent the finger as black and grey coloured streamers flew in from ringside. Moments later, and Masami continued as soon as the ring was cleared.

Masami Ishikawa: “And her opponent in the red corner, from Osaka, Osaka Prefecture and weighing in at 120lbs… The ‘Oni of the Red Lady…’ Mitzusaka Etsuko!!”

Etsuko stood deathly still as crimson and dark red streamers were tossed into the ring. As soon as the ring crew cleared the ring once again, both women approached the referee in the centre of the ring. He asked if both were ready to begin and both nodded in the affirmative, and so he called for the bell.

Ding! Ding!

The two circle, then they locked up. Jacqui took the early advantage with an arm wringer, but Etsuko was able to switch to an arm wringer of her own. The pain forced Jacqui to a knee, but she was close to the ropes and was able to grab hole, but Etsuko applied more pressure with little regard for the referee’s instructions to break the hold. Jacqui manoeuvred herself into the hammerlock position, and then countered by twisting into a headlock on Etsuko. The Japanese woman looked for an escape and then she began to twist into a top wristlock, but Jacqui slammed her back into the headlock. Etsuko again looked to escape and so she positioned her body to where she can use a foot and press against the back of the Alpha Bitch’s knee, forcing her to drop to both. This allowed Etsuko to reverse back to the hammerlock, but Jacqui managed to escape the hold with a back elbow.

Keiji Mikami: “Thus far, this match is pretty even, Tomoko.”

Tomoko Takahashi: “But remember, Mikami-san. This match has only just begun.”

Jacqui gave her arm a couple of shakes and the two are circling once again. Each woman held an arm out, as they continue to feel out the other. Jacqui extends her right arm, while Etsuko responded with her right until their fingers intertwined. They then extended the other, and both women were now locked in a test of strength. They both struggled and jockeyed for position. Jacqui being the larger of the two as well as the power player soon began to overpower Etsuko, and so she forced her back. As she was trying to stay upright, Etsuko’s back bent backward and then she fell onto her back. She kipped up, and then she kicked Jacqui in the gut to break the hold they had on one another.

Tomoko Takahashi: “You know… I am legitimately surprised to see a straight-up technical match coming from these girls…”

Keiji Mikami: “And still, neither one of these two women have a clear-cut advantage.”

And again the two women circled one another. Jacqui extended her arm once again, but when Etsuko extended hers, Jacqui twisted her arm into a wringer and she cranked for all she's worth in between slapping Etsuko across the chest with a couple of stiff chops. Etsuko tries to wriggle out of the hold, and eventually she made it to the ropes, and so the referee called for the break.

Keiji Mikami: “Pretty smart of Etsuko to force the break as quickly as she could.”

Etsuko then shoved Jacqui. Jacqui shoved her opponent back, and then the Japanese woman landed a single leg take down, and floats into a rear chin lock. That chin lock soon turned into a choke hold as soon as Etsuko’s fingers slid down Jacqui’s neck, but mere seconds after the choke was locked in it was promptly released as Etsuko began to clutch at the collar around her neck.

Tomoko Takahashi: “I’m guessing that was a big no-no for the lady who’s is holding Etsuko’s leash!”

Masami Ishikawa: “Five minutes have elapsed!”

Etsuko turned and rose to her feet as she stared at Nikki with wide eyes, which gave Jacqui the opportunity to rise to her own feet and then come at Etsuko, hooking her arms and pulling her down to her shoulders with the backslide. The referee began the count.

But Etsuko managed to break the pin. They both got to their feet and Jacqui threw her fist at her opponent’s face with a haymaker, the punch connected sending Etsuko reeling back a couple of steps before Jacqui connected with another haymaker. She forced the Japanese woman into the corner and pressed her hard against the thick pad as she began to hammer into Etsuko’s face with right fists, and just before the referee ordered the break up, Jacqui whipped her opponent across the ring and into the pad in the opposite corner and soon followed to connect with Etsuko’s head with the big boot.

Jacqui stepped back to admire her handiwork and then she raised her hands for the crowds, exclaiming “Come on!” as the fans clapped their approval and Nikki was pleading for Etsuko to fight back from ringside.

Keiji Mikami: “And Jacqui M has turned the match to her advantage!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “And all it took as some weirdo BDSM cultist with a remote control.”

Jacqui took this opportunity to taunt Nikki from the ring ropes, holding up her middle fingers and giving her both barrels. Nikki swore at Jacqui, who just smiled at her, before she pressed the button on the remote she held. Etsuko winced in pain and clutched at her neck as the shock collar did its work. The shock provided enough incentive for Etsuko to get back on her feet and attack Jacqui from behind. She ran at the Alpha Bitch and dropkicked her out of the ring while Jacqui was distracted taunting Nikki. Jacqui tumbled out and onto the floor, and the referee began his twenty-count.

Keiji Mikami: “Our referee has now began the twenty-count. Will Etsuko use this as a chance to take a breather or will she press the attack?”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Yeah, something tells me Blondie McGoth won’t let Etsuko take any breathers. And besides, even if that weren’t true, if I was her I’d press my advantage!”

Keiji Mikami: “…’Blondie McGoth?’”

Etsuko, fearing another shock from Nikki, slid out of the ring and continued the attack on the Alpha Bitch. This match had now become a brawl, as the two women exchanged blows.

Etsuko grabbed Jacqui by the wrist and made to Irish whip her into the nearby ringpost. Jacqui held on and countered with an Irish whip of her own, and the fans let loose a collective wince as the Japanese woman’s shoulder impacted with the steel.

Tomoko Takahashi: “Take it from someone who knows, that frigging hurts!”

Keiji Mikami: “Etsuko is looking bad, right now, Takahashi-san. She’s holding onto that shoulder like she might have injured it!”

Masami Ishikawa: “Ten minutes have elapsed!”

Indeed, Etsuko was draped against the steel ringpost, clutching her shoulder as she gritted her teeth in pain. Jacqui pressed on the offense with a couple bashes of Etsuko’s head against the steel amidst Nikki’s protests.

Afterward, Jacqui did the smart thing and slid back into the ring before she was counted out along with her opponent. Etsuko was still outside the ring, on her knees and being attended to by Nikki.

Meanwhile, Jacqui was standing in the middle of the ring, feigning boredom and checking the imaginary watch on her wrist. Etsuko was showing signs of some recovery, however.

Keiji Mikami: “If Etsuko doesn’t get back in that ring within the next few seconds, Jacqui M is going to advance to the quarter finals!”

At the very last second, Etsuko surged back into the ring, though she looked little better than she did just a few seconds’ ago. Jacqui backed away from her opponent slowly as Etsuko struggled to climb back to her feet, and as soon as she was upright, like some great exclamation point the Alpha Bitch knocked her back down with the superkick.

Keiji Mikami: “Jacqui Kick! Jacqui must have this match won, surely!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “Jacqui makes the cover!”

And indeed Jacqui does make the cover. The referee counted.

But at the last second, Etsuko managed to roll over, and now she was the one with the cover. The referee restarted his count.

But Jacqui managed to roll over again, bundling Etsuko tightly and making sure that her shoulders were pressed against the mat. The referee again restarts the three-count.

The bell rings, and “We Will Rise” blared through the hall’s speakers, almost drowning the claps and cheers coming from the crowds. Jacqui climbed off of her opponent and onto her feet, giving Etsuko the finger as the referee raised her other hand in victory.

Masami Ishikawa: “Here is your winner by pinfall…the ‘Alpha Bitch…’ Jacqui M!”

As soon as the referee released her hand, Jacqui gave Nikki the finger for good measure with a smile on her face before she turned and faced the fans, yelling “come on!” as she celebrated her victory.

Keiji Mikami: “And there we have it! Jacqui is the final participant of Block A to advance to the quarter finals of the Championship of Seishin tournament!”

Tomoko Takahashi: “You know, for a crazy culty chick, Etsuko held her own in there, even with that stupid collar she has around her neck.”

Keiji Mikami: “You are right, Takahashi-san, Etsuko did a great job tonight. Moving on, tonight has been a great show and I for one enjoyed every moment of it. And we’re not done yet, we still have Block B of the tournament two weeks from now and I for one am looking forward that, too! Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of my broadcast partner Takahashi Tomoko, this is Mikami Keiji wishing you all a good night!”
