The scene opens inside a kickboxing club, somewhere in Natalie's hometown of Cardiff. Natalie - who is wearing a pair of black leggings and a white tank top top - is sat on the apron of a ring, leaning against the ropes.
Natalie sits up straight, looks to the camera, and speaks.
'Two weeks have passed since the fourth edition of We are Seishin - a show that ended disappointingly for yours truly, with me being pinned by Kaya Lovelace. However, in a week's time, I have an opportunity to bounce back from that defeat, as I aim to get back to winning ways. If I am to record another win, though, it won't be easy, as I face a difficult challenge, against Merlot Ayano.'
Natalie uses the ropes to pull herself up, to stand on the apron.
'This is an important match for both of us: at the beginning of next month, Merlot could become the first Champion of Seishin, and I'm sure she won't want to go into that match on the back of a loss - but that's exactly what I intend to have happen; this match is important for me because I have championship aspirations of my own, and regardless of who becomes the first Champion - whether it's Merlot, Junko, or Jacqui M - I believe that a victory over Merlot would put me right in contention for a future title shot. That's why I need to win this match.'
Natalie nods her head assertively.
'I know that Merlot won't be anything other than a tough opponent, but I'm finding this match more straightforward to get myself ready for than my past two matches: instead of having five or six opponents to study, this time I have just one opponent to prepare for. Plus, the extra week between shows allows for another week of preparations, and so I'm confident that when the time comes for me to step into the ring with Merlot, I'll have done everything I can to give myself the best possible chance to get the better of her.'
Natalie leans against the ropes again.
'Merlot appears to be disillusioned with wrestling, and the people that make a living from it. My passion for the sport shouldn't be in question, though: if I wanted an easy lifestyle, I would have stuck to being a personal trainer - but instead, I quit that job, to pursue a career in wrestling.'
Natalie pauses to take a breath.
'What I may currently lack in skill, I make up for in heart.'
She then thumps her chest.
'I'm dedicated to this sport. In the past twelve months I've traveled the globe, to experience different styles of wrestling - to become the best wrestler that I can be. And Merlot, next week you'll get to experience my passion, my desire - my intensity.'
Natalie leaps off the ring, onto the floor.
'Merlot, I'll show you exactly what I'm all about.'
As Natalie stares at the camera, confidently, the scene fades to black.
